On behalf of UCLA DataX and the Children’s Online Safety and Privacy Research (COSPR) program, you are invited to participate in a closed-door workshop on “Unpacking Child Safety”.
In this workshop, you can expect a deeper dive that grounds online harms in the theories and literature on child safety. Drawing from clinical findings, the workshop will offer a conceptual framework for understanding how and why young people experience online harms. Informed by rights-based approaches, it will discuss how platform-level interventions and social policy can be leveraged together to safeguard young people’s digital lives. The workshop will be followed by a networking event for participants to continue the discussion and meet each other.
Dinner will be provided.
Please RSVP by May 22nd
