Sijia Li

Assistant Professor of Biostatistics, Fielding School of Public Health

Sijia (Lucy) Li, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at the Fielding School of Public Health. Previously, she was a postdoctoral research fellow working with Dr. Rui Duan at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She received her Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of Washington, advised by Dr. Alex Luedtke.

Sijia is interested in developing statistical methods to draw robust and efficient statistical inferences from real-world data, especially when multiple heterogeneous data sources are available. The scientific questions of her interest often arise from the fields of causal inference and optimization. Her research interests include semiparametric theory, causal inference, data fusion, and transfer learning, with applications to clinical trials, electronic health record data, infectious disease, mental health, health equity and model fairness.
