Todd Presner is Professor of European Languages and Transcultural Studies and was the inaugural chair of UCLA’s Digital Humanities Program (2010-20). He runs the “Holocaust Research Lab”, which uses computational tools to interpret Holocaust history. As part of this lab, the team partners with various museums to study how Large Language Models represent history as well as document the risks of AI being used to distort or deny the past.
