The project began with the goal of showing the beauty and resilience of Palestinians living under occupation and siege & presenting Gaza outside the realm of death and destruction, only to become redefined by the genocidal war that began in 2023.
On November 3rd & 4th, the public will be able to sign up for 30-minute slots to view videos and images on VR headsets at the exhibit. Walk-in spots will also be made available both days. To sign-up for a slot, visit here.
The Phoenix of Gaza exhibit will open on the evening of Monday, November 2nd with a poetry reading by Fady Joudah and a lecture by the co-founders of the Phoenix of Gaza, Professors Ahlam Muhtaseb (CSU-SB) and Naim Aburaddi (Villanova).
