Vice Chancellor Roger Wakimoto Announces Appointment of Safiya U. Noble as Acting Director of DataX

On June 6, 2022, Vice Chancellor for Research & Creative Activities Roger M. Wakimoto announced the appointment of Professor Safiya U. Noble as Acting Director of DataX, effective July 1, 2022.

As Acting Director, Professor Noble will provide strategic leadership and vision to the early growth of DataX. The Acting Director will have the opportunity to recruit outstanding faculty, create an exciting and diverse intellectual and educational community; strategically seek out new opportunities in research and education; and foster new interdisciplinary connections across campus.
